Detectives in Kakamega are investigating a shocking suspected murder–suicide after two university students were found dead inside a house in Maraba, Kakamega Central. Preliminary investigations indicate that one of the victims may have fatally stabbed the other before taking their own life. On March 10, family members visited the house where he lived, only to find the door locked from the inside. The bodies were moved to the Kakamega General Hospital mortuary for postmortem examination as investigations continue. The incident drew a large crowd of residents who gathered at the scene as police removed the bodies.
