Exporters in Bangladesh have received orders of $19.46 million in export order at the 23rd edition of Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF), Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed said on Sunday citing Export Promotion Bureau data. At the closing ceremony of the 35-day-long exposition, the minister said: “We have experienced a record jump of 8.71% in export orders from last year, while products worth Tk87.83 crore have been sold at the fair. There is no alternative way to do this effectively without trade fairs,” he added. Different exhibitors at the fair were offering upto 60% discounts on various goods on the closing day of the exposition. Over 589 pavilions, mini pavilions and stalls have been set up at the Sher-e-Bangla Nagar site.
