KUALA LUMPUR: The government has proposed to make Industrial Buildings System (IBS) mandatory for all new public development projects under local authorities’ contracts. Works Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof said the move would see higher adoption of IBS in Malaysia. "Therefore, we would like to get all the local authorities which are the approving agencies to make IBS as one of the mandatory terms. "But the most important thing is to push higher adoption of IBS. The 18th ICW exhibition is held from March 26-30 and is expected to attract around 10,000 visitors.
