The teen is identified as Rakib Sheikh, 14, is son of Kaosar Sheikh, of Mallikpur village of Lohagora upazila, Narail. He was rescued from the area around 8am on Thursday by the Kashiani UNO Sabbir Ahmed and Assitant Commissioner (Land) Atikul Islam and was taken to the Upazila Health Complex for treatment, local administration sources said. "We learnt about the incident through a local journalist. We rescued the child and he is under the observation of the upazila Health Officer Dr Kaiyum Talukdar at the hospital," said UNO Sabbir.
