In its nearly 15 months of existence, the New England Patriots Club of The Villages has had it pretty good. Founded just 2 1/2 months before the Patriots’ miraculous comeback victory over the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI last February, the group has blossomed to nearly 650 dues-paying members locally. And they’re a day away from enjoying their second Super Bowl Sunday together in as many seasons. “This group has basically become what The Villages is all about,” said club President Roger Homan, of the Village Rio Ponderosa. It’s time we sit back and enjoy what’s in it for us, and we’re enjoying each other, the New England Patriots and all the success they’re having.”
