Roscommon Gardaí were delighted to meet up with Little Blue Hero Jamie Webb last week. Jamie, who is from Loughglynn, met Sgt Deirdre Coleman, Community Policing, at Castlerea Train Station. Last year, Jamie was nominated for a special achievement award at the Roscommon-Longford Garda Youth Awards, acknowledging his bravery and resilence as he had overcome many health challenges. Little Blue Heroes Foundation, established in 2017, is a not-for-profit registered charity voluntarily led by Garda members, retired Garda members and civic minded people from local communities. Little Blue Heroes Foundation’s vision is to support families of children with serious illnesses in Ireland while empowering the lives of children through positive community engagement.
