Liza Soberano voices the brave and edgy Filipina heroine ‘Trese’ (inset) in the Netflix Original Anime series. Hearing Filipino folklore stories from elders who have also passed it on to them, to some extent, is a rite of passage for most Pinoy children. Unfortunately, as the country moves with the rest of the world towards civilization, this bit of culture - to Soberano's observance - is slowly dying down. That's why being part of the Netflix Original Anime series "Trese" becomes all the more special to the popular actress. The show is also on a mission to tell the younger generation of the Philippine’s rich folklore.
