It was claimed that the Reds were in line to make €5million (£4.3million) from Barcelona if the Brazilian - who completed a £142million transfer to Spain in 2018 - reached the Champions League final this season. Barcelona agreed to pay Liverpool a total of £35.2million in additional performance-related bonuses when they signed Coutinho in the 2018 January transfer window. The first is appearance clause specific, with Liverpool set to earn £17.6million after Coutinho plays 100 times for the Catalan club.
