Wales boss Ryan Giggs is keeping close tabs on the 18-year-old right back and could give him a senior call-up as he has already played for the under-19s. But England are also very interested because Wrexham-born Williams is also eligible to play for the Three Lions as he has English grandparents. England under-20s boss Paul Simpson was at Anfield on Tuesday night to run the rule over Williams when he was man of the match in their FA Cup tie with Shrewsbury Town. Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is a huge fan of Williams who is regarded as one of the club’s best up-and-coming prospects and he has played in the FA Cup and League Cup. That opens the tantalising prospect of the full back forcing his way into the reckoning for the Wales squad which will travel to the European Championships this summer.
