Liverpool will be boosted by the presence of Virgil van Dijk in central defence when they return to Premier League action against Manchester United. The Dutchman missed the 0-0 draw with Bayern Munich in the Champions League due to suspension but is available to face United and will slot straight back into the side. Van Dijk’s return eases Jurgen Klopp’s defensive woes, with the Reds manager having to field midfielder Fabinho alongside Joel Matip on Tuesday. The Cameroon defender is sure to partner Van Dijk once more with Dejan Lovren (hamstring) and Joe Gomez (fractured leg) both still sidelined.
