Liverpool are set to offer Arsenal transfer target Adam Lallana a contract extension of sorts if the Premier League campaign is resumed in the summer months, per reports. The season is currently on pause due to the global coronavirus pandemic, with fixtures scheduled to resume on April 4. With 29 matches having been played before the enforced break, it is more likely to be the former although there are some who doubt the campaign will ever be concluded due to the severity of the outbreak. If the season is extended into the summer, then clubs face a predicament with out-of-contract players. Most players’ deals are due to run out in June, including Liverpool midfielder Lallana, who has made 22 appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s league leaders this term.
