Coutinho had appeared destined to leave Camp Nou for good this summer, with Premier League rivals Chelsea, Tottenham and Everton among the clubs reported to be interested in the former Liverpool playmaker. So Barcelona have decided to hold onto him for another season - but that will cost them an extra £17m which is going straight into Liverpool's coffers, according to Marca. A further five million euros (currently £4.4m) would be due to Liverpool if Coutinho wins the Champions League with Barcelona. And if that happens, Liverpool will be £17m better off - and their decision to sell him two years ago will look like even better business than it does now.
