Arne Slot begins his reign as Liverpool manager with a lunchtime trip to Ipswich Town on August 17. The Reds haven't played the Championship runners-up since 2002 and Slot's first game in charge will put him on the Portman Road touchline against the highly-rated Kieran McKenna at 12.30pm on the opening weekend. The Dutchman's first Anfield match will come the following weekend against Brentford before the third match-day of the 2024-25 Premier League season pits Slot against countryman Erik ten Hag. Liverpool face Manchester United at Old Trafford at the end of August. Slot won't get his first taste of the Merseyside derby until December 7 at Goodison Park but before then will take on title favourites Arsenal (October 26) and Manchester City (November 30) as he bids to close the gap to the two top teams.
