Liverpool may have missed out on receiving lump sums for Roberto Firmino, James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, but the quartet's departure still reportedly frees up around £26million a year in wages. Alexis Mac Allister looks set to become the first signing through the door in a deal potentially worth up to £70m. The Argentine currently earns around £50,000-a-week at Brighton and, even though a move to Liverpool would also bring about a pay increase, that would still leave plenty of money to use elsewhere. According to The Athletic, Liverpool will be £500,000-a-week better off than they were last season following the departures of Firmino, Keita, Milner and Oxlade-Chamberlain. The 23-year-old is being linked with clubs all over Europe having impressed in the Bundesliga and ticks all the right boxes for Liverpool.
