Liverpool have taken 5,973 tickets for the game in Istanbul, Chelsea asked for 1,314, which means the Merseyside club will have more than four times as many travelling supporters. The Super Cup final showpiece between the Champions League and Europa League winners is being staged in Besiktas’s 41,000 capacity stadium in Istanbul on August 14. It comes after Liverpool and Tottenham fans complained they could not get enough tickets for the Champions League final in Madrid while Arsenal and Chelsea supporters stayed away from the Europa final because of difficulties getting to Baku. Chelsea, meanwhile, guaranteed their berth in the Super Cup thanks to their 4-1 drubbing of Arsenal in May's Europa League final. Liverpool, meanwhile, have won on three of their five appearances in the Super Cup with their last success coming in 2005 when they beat CSKA Moscow 3-1 in Monaco.
