Liverpool Women could have a new home next season as stadium move explored

Liverpool are considering a new home for their women's team next season - with a move to St Helens among a number of options on the table. The Reds have played their home games at Prenton Park, the stadium of League Two side Tranmere Rovers, since 2018. While talks have taken place over continuing at Tranmere, Liverpool have visited several other sites with St Helens Rugby Football Club's Totally Wicked Stadium believed to be a strong alternative. The 18,000-capacity stadium was opened in 2012 and has previously played host to European games for the Reds' Academy teams. Although Liverpool are still a way off competing for the league's top honours, their considerable progress this term has been impressive.
