The great Aleksander Barkov sealed the deal, banking a shot off Logan Shaw and past Antti Niemi six minutes into the third period. The Canadiens thought they’d tied it on Jacob De La Rose’s goal 18 seconds later. But Florida won a challenge because the Canadiens were offside on the scoring play. The first period included two lively fights: Ekblad vs Nicolas Deslauriers (draw) and Michael McCarron winning against Alex Petrovic. Shots were 40-28 Florida.
