Live: Feyen expected to oust Duffy in Horowhenua mayoralty raceWARWICK SMITH/FAIRFAX NZ Michael Feyen leads a tight race for mayor. Outspoken councillor Michael Feyen is expected to oust incumbent Brendan Duffy in a tight race for the mayoralty of Horowhenua. With 98 per cent of votes counted, Duffy was behind by about 150. Feyen would take over as mayor after only one prior term on the Horowhenua District Council, but he has previously run for the mayoralty in Tararua in 2010. If Duffy goes, it will be a fresh-faced council, with deputy mayor Garry Good not seeking re-election after 12 years.
