Listening Post: SoccerPractise/Half Japanese/William Patrick Corgan Our weekly wrap of new musicSupplied Former Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan has released his second solo album Ogilala. Thankfully, Ogilala serves as a timely reminder as to what he's capable of. Rubin's influence shows, for unlike some of Corgan's other relatively recent material, Ogilala is a crisp, tight album, with clean and minimal production. The shadow of the Pumpkins does hang over the album, but in a good way. Unless you are from Auckland, the stand-out point for SoccerPractise is probably their tribute to Moana Maniapoto at the 2016 Silver Scrolls.
