The "gunfight"’ took place at Tongi, Gazipur in the early hours of Tuesday. The deceased Jahangir Hossain alias Pinku, 40, was a listed criminal and had around 14 cases filed against him under murder, arms and drug acts. He was the son Abu Jafar of Gosair Char in Faridganj upazila of Chandpur districtRAB-1 Senior ASP Md Kamruzzaman confirmed the matter. Two foreign pistols, two magazines, 11 round of bullets, three empty cartridge and 1,900 pieces yaba pills were seized from the spot.
