KOTA KINABALU: A National Transportation Council is being set up to resolve issues in this key sector, Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said. He said the consultative body will enable the Federal Government to work even more closely with various states to draw up specific policies to address transportation problems nationwide. “We hope to have the first meeting before the year's end,” he said after opening the Sabah MCA meeting here Sunday. Earlier, he told Sabah MCA delegates that he is heartened to see them gearing up for the party elections. Also present at the Sabah MCA meeting were party deputy president Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong and vice-president Datuk Chua Tee Yong.
