KUALA LUMPUR: The Government spent about RM456mil in the search for MH370, which disappeared exactly three years ago today. Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said the underwater sweep over 120,000 sq km of the southern Indian Ocean involved Malaysia, Australia and China. Leong had asked to state the costs incurred in the MH370 search, and if a report providing the full information and data will be released. Liow said following the suspension of the search, the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) will lead a response team to monitor new evidence related to the missing aircraft. He said the investigations into the disappearance of MH370 was conducted by the Malaysian International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Annex 13 Safety Investigation Team for MH370 of the Convention on International Civil Aviation, Aircraft Accident and Incident Investigation.
