ALLEN PARK, Mich. — The Detroit Lions on Thursday morning added another experienced pass catcher to their ranks, signing free-agent wideout Jermaine Kearse. Kearse is in his eighth NFL season, having spent the first five in Seattle and the last two with the Jets in New York. Kearse caught 153 passes for 11 touchdowns in Seattle, plus 24 catches and six touchdowns in 12 playoff games. “We kind of joked about it a little bit,” Patricia told reporters Thursday, regarding Kearse and their Super Bowl XLIX connection, “but then quickly moved on. Doesn’t mean anything going forward but it’s fun.”Kearse joins Danny Amendola as a veteran receiver the Lions have added this off-season with a history of making clutch catches in big games.
