Online professional network LinkedIn has revealed the most overused words found on its Malaysian site. The top offender – specialised – is new on the list and appears to be a favourite with marketers, salespersons and talent representatives. LinkedIn has been sharing top buzzwords for six straight years to help local professionals differentiate themselves on its network. “It’s time to rejuvenate your LinkedIn profile to stand out from the competitive crowd, now that the post Chinese New Year recruitment season has started,” said LinkedIn senior director of corporate communications for Asia Pacific. Take a professional tone and be assertive and direct when you’re talking about your achievements, don’t hide behind buzzwords or jargon.
