Virat Kohli top-scored for India as they beat New Zealand easily in the first ODI. New Zealand's sub-standard batting performances in India continued at the start of their five-game ODI series at Dharamsala overnight. India marched to an easy six-wicket win, achieved in the 34th over with a whopping 101 balls to spare, finishing on 194 for four. The win was ensured by India's batting hero Virat Kohli, who finished unbeaten on 84 off 81 balls. The Canterbury left-hander went on to become the first New Zealander to carry his bat through a complete ODI innings.
