Lime's trial in Lower Hutt is set to stay despite the company's e-scooters having been pulled from the streets in Auckland and Dunedin because of safety concerns. STUFF/ABIGAIL DOUGHERTY Lower Hutt's Lime e-scooter trial will continue after assurances a potentially dangerous glitch has been resolved. Kim Kelly, Hutt City Council city transformation general manager, said the council had met with Lime on Monday and was "satisfied" with the company's advice it had addressed the technical issue. Lower Hutt and Upper Hutt became the first - and so-far only - cities in the Wellington region to trial the e-scooters when a they were launched last December. The Upper Hutt City Council did not respond to a request for comment.
