In her new memoir, Unfiltered, actress Lily Collins gets real about her relationship with her famous dad, Phil Collins. In an open letter (to her dad, and all dads) published in the book, Lily details the way she felt growing up with a father who wasn’t always around. “I’ve realized that many of my deepest insecurities stem from these issues with my dad,” she wrote, via People. “I forgive you for not always being there when I needed and for not being the dad I expected. I forgive the mistakes you made.”Finally, she added, “There’s still so much time to move forward.
