Commonwealth gold winner Tania Murray's daughter chases success on the field JO MCKENZIE-MCLEANJO MCKENZIE-MCLEAN/STUFF Jaide Dixon, 16, with her mum Tania Murray, who won the gold medal in the women's high jump at the 1990 Commonwealth Games. A 16-year-old Cromwell girl is following in her Commonwealth gold-winning mother's footsteps chasing success on the field. At 19, she won a gold medal in the women's high jump at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland. Murray said although her daughter has chosen a different sport, she was still able to pass on some knowledge from experience. Her daughter had also been a recipient of a Skeggs Foundation grant - as had she as a young athlete.
