PORT DICKSON: A fisherman was killed by lightning at the Jimah power station jetty near Bukit Pelanduk here. In the 1pm incident, R. Kannan, 39, died on the spot after he was hit by lightning on his chest while he was on his boat. Deputy OCPD Deputy Supt Mohd Faizal Mohd Noor said an examination on his body showed his chest was burnt. His friend also confirmed that the victim was hit by lightning, he said in a statement. DSP Mohd Faizal said police had classified the case as sudden death.
