In Cox’s Bazar, a schoolboy has been struck dead by lightning in Maheshkhali upazila. The incident occurred in the Keruntali area of Hoyanak union, in the upazila, around 9:30am on Monday. The deceased, Mohammad Rajib, 12—son of Mohammad Mufizul Alam—was a grade 6 student of Abdul Mabud Chowduary High School. In Bandarban, a woman has been killed, and three others have been injured, after being struck by lightning in Naikhongchhari upazila.
