Calbayog City, Samar: An employee of the National Power Corp. (Napocor) and a fisherman died while two others suffered burns on Thursday when lightning struck a motor boat docked in the port of Calbayog City. The fatalities were identified as Reynaldo Delabajen, 28, a Napocor employee of Santo Niño, Samar and Pedro Alimoot, a fisherman, of Barangay Costa Rica, also in Santo Niño. Wounded were as Pedro’s brother Peter Alimoot, 26, and Jovane Campomar, boat crew from Almagro, Samar, an island municipality of Western Samar. Jose Alamo, city police chief, told The Manila Times that MB Justine Joy, a passenger motor boat was docked at the port when the lightning struck at about 2 p.m. Officials of Calbayog District Hospital said in a phone interview that Peter Alimoot and Campomaner were now out of danger.
