Even before he entered politics Donald Trump presented himself as an outsider – a brash striver from the outer boroughs of New York who succeeded on his own terms as a property mogul in the glitzy heart of Manhattan. As President of the United States he promises to storm Washington in a similar fashion. It marks the greatest triumph yet for the groundswell of anti-establishment populism that has swept the West, and which was also a force behind Brexit. Mr Trump was a near ubiquitous presence in the US media for the 513 days of his campaign. However, can anybody be sure what to expect from his administration?
