She’s been working on a collaborative project with Cushendale Woollen Mills in Graiguenamanagh, not far from her childhood home in Clonegall, Co Carlow. Cushendale is one of the only two remaining woollen mills in Ireland to work with Irish fleece. For Kirwan, who previously worked in fast fashion, this was an opportunity to highlight a way of working in which Irish fleece was not wasted.
