Sept. 23 (PTI): A senior Tamil Nadu minister said today that AIADMK leaders had lied to people that then chief minister Jayalalithaa's health was improving in hospital, "afraid" of her long-time live-in aide V.K. Forests minister Dindigul Srinivasan claimed that whoever came to see Jayalalithaa used to be told by Sasikala's relatives that she was "all right". We told lies - that Amma (Jayalalithaa) is eating sambar, chutney, tea, etc, so that you believe that she was improving. "We were afraid of Sasikala at that time and lied about Amma's health," he claimed. Dinakaran said Tamil Nadu governor Vidyasagar Rao had visited the hospital and issued a statement on Jayalalithaa's health.
