Based in Glamorgan, Capper & Co was established in 1901 as a grocery wholesaler and became the Spar wholesaler for South Wales in 1959, with Capper's father, John, as one of the founding directors of Spar in the UK. At Lidl Denmark, they support a VAT reduction, as an experiment in the grocery chain has shown that it increases sales of fruit and vegetables significantly.
