Packs of Aunt Bessie's potato croquettes which are sold in Lidl are being recalled amid fears they could cause a dangerous allergic reaction. Aunt Bessie's is recalling this product, which is only being sold in Lidl, because it might contain eggAunt Bessie's said that there was 'nothing wrong' with the food, which is only being sold in Lidl, and it could be eaten, as long as customers don't have an egg allergy. 'This is an isolated incident and no other Aunt Bessie’s products are affected by this recall. 'The health and safety of our customers is a priority for us at Aunt Bessie’s and we would like to apologise unreservedly to our customers for any inconvenience caused.' The supermarket says the own brand product could be harmful to customers with an allergy because they could contain milk or mustard.
