The market watchdog has launched a new electronic licensing function on Wings, an online platform for filing information to the regulator. The functions are a cornerstone of the digitalized licensing process due for launch in 2021, said the Securtities and Futures Commission today. The platform introduced web-based licensing forms with auto-fill and skip logic features and pre-set validation rules to reduce errors while electronic signatures will also be supported. Upgraded administration functions will allow separate accounts for licensees and their professional advisory firms, giving them more flexibility in how they handle licensing matters and manage submissions. Ashley Alder, the SFC chief executive, said the platform will provide greater convenience.
