Libyan Parliament Speaker arrives in Cairo to meet with a number of Egyptian officials


CAIRO - 31 October 2020: Libyan Parliament Speaker Aguila Saleh arrived in Cairo coming from the Maltese capital, Valletta, to meet with a number of officials on a quick visit. A Libyan diplomatic source told Egypt Today that the Libyan Parliament Speaker’s visit will touch upon the latest developments in the Libyan crisis, especially the field developments and the political situation in the country, explaining that the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum in Tunisia is one of the most prominent files for discussion during Saleh's visit. The Libyan Speaker of Parliament is accompanied during his visit to Cairo by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the Libyan government, Abdel-Hadi Al-Hawaij, and the Libyan Deputy Prime Minister, Abdel Salam Al-Badri. On Friday, Saleh held a meeting with the ambassadors of the European Union countries to Malta, with the coordination and presence of the Maltese Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs Evarest Bartolo, at the headquarters of the Maltese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Media Office of the Libyan Parliament indicated that during the meeting, the file of reinvestment was discussed, with a main focus on the importance of security and stability in Libya.
