The Libyan National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has warned of an increase in cases of Coronavirus infection during the coming period as a result of the spread of new variant of COVID-19. The Center explained in a statement that this matter may cause an increase in hospitalization cases, especially for vulnerable groups such as (the elderly – those with chronic diseases – those with low immunity, etc.). NCDC stressed the need to take all precautionary measures to prevent infection based on the circulars and guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO). The Center pointed out that there has been a noticeable increase in respiratory disease infections since the beginning of October, with cases ranging from simple to serious, with a number of deaths recorded.
