Bangladesh and Libya have shown interest in signing a memorandum of understanding on sending Bangladeshi workers to the North African country. Besides, both countries have stressed the necessity for ensuring safe and orderly migration, tackling human trafficking and discouraging irregular migration. At the meeting, the Libyan diplomat thanked Bangladesh for its recent move to withdraw embargo on sending workers to the North African country. Rahoumh praised Bangladeshi migrant workers for their contributions in rebuilding Libya and said at present his country has taken various development projects. He hoped Bangladeshi migrant workers would play a fruitful role in keeping the economic wheels of Libya rolling in future.
