Liberian Vice President Receives Rousing Welcome In Ohio -


Liberian Vice President Joseph N. Boakai has arrived in the United States to participate in the 65th Annual National Prayer Breakfast, a long standing event held on the first Thursday of February each year. At the Columbus Ohio International Airport, the Liberian Vice President was received by a representative group of the Liberian Community in Ohio was on hand to receive Vice President Joseph N. Boakai who arrived there to take part in funeral service of the late Liberia Council of State Leader Ruth Sando Fahnbulleh Perry. Leading the Federation of Liberian Associations in Ohio (FOLAO) was its leader, Secretary-General Frank Carter, accompanied by former Union of Liberian Associations in the Americas (ULAA) National President Emmanuel S. Wettee, ULAA National Board Secretary Alfred Sieh, and former Liberians in Columbus (LICI) Leader Dr. LeRoy Boikai. The Community Leadership was introduced to the VP by the Chief of Mission of the Liberian Embassy, Honorable Jeff Dowana. Representing the family of the deceased Council of State Chairman was the son Mr. Ralph Perry and nephew Gayah Fahnbulleh, and also received a traditional bouquet of flowers.
