D. Eric Kpayea, the national secretary general of the Liberia People’s Democratic Party, has resigned his post seven months after the defeat of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), a coalition his party has been into since 2017. Webster Clayeh (0886729972)-[email protected]LPDP is still in coalition with George Weah’s Congress for Democratic Change. However, Kpayea is the first high profile individual to resign his post and member of the party after 2023 election. This decision, he says, comes after intense internal disagreements regarding the Party’s policy direction, adding that it was made after careful consideration. Up to now, we had not yet reached an agreement to sign or reach the resolution of our party,” Senator Tyler said in 2023.
