Businessman James CooperMonrovia – A Liberian businessman has expressed concern about the Liberian Senate “blatant” refusal to investigate Bomi County Senator Sando Johnson over allegations of bribery despite making several requests. James Cooper, in two separate letters written to the Pro Temp of the Senate, sought a probe of Senator Johnson “to ensure the viability of the Senate and public trust in our Legislature”. The businessman and the Bomi County lawmaker have been embroiled in a legal tussle with both sides making allegations and counter allegations. Senator Johnson then filed a lawsuit against the businessman, who was subsequently acquitted by the Circuit Court. Meanwhile, Senator Johnson told FPA via mobile phone on Tuesday that “nobody investigated me” and that he has ever since put the saga behind him.
