Liberia: Seat of Presidency Cleared for President to Return to Work After Snakes’ Scare


“– Mr. Lenn Eugene Nagbe, Minister of InformationMonrovia – Liberia’s Information Minister Lenn Eugene Nagbe says President Weah will return to work Monday following a snake scare last week. Last week, officers of the Executive Protective Services (EPS) failed to kill two snakes found roaming the ceiling of the ground floor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs which has been the temporary seat of the presidency since a 2007 fire blazed the fourth floor of the Executive Mansion. The two snakes managed to escape through the same passage it attempted coming out from. Minister Nagbe, speaking to the Voice of America Monday said the incident is not unusual. According to a Foreign Ministry release, normal working activities at the Ministry will resume on Wednesday, April 24, 2019.
