Liberia: Murder Suspect of Officer Bedell Gets 25 Years in Prison


Monrovia – Darious Wilson, the main murder suspect of officer Moses Bedell of the Liberia National Police, has been found guilty with the crime of murder and has been sentenced to prison for 25 years. Wilson, 22, was sentenced on Thursday, August 30, by Criminal Court “A” Judge Roosevelt Z. Willie. He is expected to serve out his jailed term of 25 years at the Monrovia Central Prison beginning Thursday, August 30. “In view, therefore, defendant Darious Wilson is hereby convicted for the crime of murder and is hereby sentenced to imprisonment for 25 years,” the court final ruling said. Judge Willie added that convict Wilson was sentenced to prison for twenty-five years because of his plea for mercy and open confession before the court.
