Monrovia– The Ministry of Justice has opened an immediate investigation into a leaked video from Monrovia Central Prison that officials say violated the rights of inmates and may have breached prison regulations. The Supreme Court sentenced Prophet Key to six months in prison for criminal contempt. However, during the week, video footage surfaced on social media of Prophetkey and ex-President Charles Taylor’s son in a bar in the Monrovia prison. The Ministry, in a statement, says the recording raises serious concerns about discipline and security within Liberia’s correctional system. The incident has sparked public debate over prison management and transparency in Liberia.
