Monrovia – Monrovia Club Breweries bounced back from Sunday defeat against Watanga as they thrashed FC Fassell 4-0 at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium. Despite chances at either end of the match, including a good one for Fassell’s Fred Mombo, the Soccer Missionaries could not live up to Breweries’ ruthlessness, as the hosts registered their first win in the league in a frantic fashion. The result leaves the Soccer Missionaries without a win after their first three league matches. Three minutes after the restart, Mombo had a golden chance to find the equalizer for the Soccer Missionaries after Kennedy’s defensive error but Breweries’ goalkeeper Jefferson Potepa came to his rescue to tip for corner. Fassell had a short spell and Aloysious Kloh almost reduced the score line for the Soccer Missionaries with a diving header from Joshua Baysah’s brilliant cross but goalkeeper Potepa made a smart save in the 77th minute.
