Unity Party, Liberty Party, All Liberia Party, and Alternative National Congress have been showing commonalities since the CDC since the beginning of 2018. Liberian opposition political parties seeking collaboration have a self-destruct tendency. Back in 1997, a certain Alliance of Political Parties (APL) crumbled when disagreement ensued amongst its various political leaders. The APL comprised of the Liberia Action Party, Liberia Unification Party Liberian People’s Party, the Liberia Unification Party, the National Democratic Party of Liberia, True Whig Party, Unity Party and the United People’s Party. The document, dubbed the “Ganta Declaration,” ensured that opposition political parties agreed to work together.
