The leader of the Liberal Democrats, Ed Davey, slipped off a paddleboard into Windermere in the Lake District on Tuesday. After steadying the board, Davey attempted to stand up but within a few seconds lost his balance and fell into the water. He fared little better after carefully remounting the board on his knees
