The Ecuador international, who joined Chelsea in a £115 million deal from Brighton in 2023, has established himself as one of the leading midfielders in the Premier League. ‘For me, he’s one of the best defensive midfield players, if not the best defensive midfield player in world football,’ Rosenior said. ‘When I actually analysed the games that we’ve had, we’ve caused every team we’ve played against problems but haven’t had the results for that.
